Career and Technical Education (CTE) brings learning to life through hands-on, real-world experiences. Students don’t just learn concepts, they apply them through projects, labs, and practical problem-solving that builds confidence and career-ready skills. Our instructors bring industry experience directly into the classroom, offering students valuable insight, mentorship, and up-to-date knowledge from the fields they teach.

Our Mission
The Charles W. Day Technical Education Center (DAYTEC) provides students with the ability to graduate with a diploma and resume of skills and experiences through Career & Technical Education (CTE) programming in a variety of fields.

Dr. White, who has led RCPS since July 2020, will retire at the end of the 2026-27 school year.

We have now restored limited access to Canvas in a secure environment, allowing students and staff to log in and download needed course materials.
